The panel of tumor markers for women consists of several indicators that are markers of the following types of pathologies:
The marker CA 19-9 – shows the pathology of the pancreas, stomach, colon, liver, gallbladder and biliary tract.
The marker CEA – indicates the development of tumor in the body.
The marker CA125 (cancer antigen 125) – indications: suspicion of serous ovarian carcinoma, tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, bronchial carcinoma, breast carcinoma
The marker CA 15-3 (cancer antigen 15-3) – Indications for: suspected carcinoma of the breast, as well as monitoring of the disease and the effectiveness of therapy for breast carcinoma.
The marker Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) – used to determine primary liver cancer as well as in monitoring the course of disease, preclinical diagnosis of metastasis.
